Dr Minu Ramakrishnan joined K J Somaiya Medical College as Sr. Resident in 2002, after completing her MBBS, DOMS, DO and DNB from Seth GSMC and KEMH. Currently she is working as Professor and Head of department of Ophthalmology since past 5 years. She has done fellowship training in cornea (ST) from LVPEI and medical retina and lasers from AEI, Coimbatore and is looking after cornea and medical retina subspecialties at Somaiya, in addition to Oculoplasty and Cataract. She has performed more than 5000 successful cataract surgeries( including phacoemulsification with foldable IOLs) and more 30 corneal transplant surgeries. She is successfully running the Eye donation centre and keratoplasty centre at K J Somaiya Hospital.
