Biography

Dr. Aditya Sathe holds a graduate degree in Medical Sciences (MBBS) and a Post graduate degree in the specialty of Biochemistry conferred by Pune University. He has also been awarded with the degree of Diplomate of National Board (DNB) in the practice of Biochemistry after passing the Post graduate level examination conducted by the National Board of Examinations, New Delhi.

He has worked as a medical teacher for the subject of Biochemistry for various undergraduate and postgraduate level degree and diploma programs at renowned institutes like the B J Medical College, Pune and the Topiwala National Medical College, Mumbai, and is now working as Professor of Biochemistry with the K J Somaiya Medical College and Hospital since more than ten years.

Apart from teaching assignments he has contributed to the clinical biochemistry laboratory of the hospitals attached to the medical colleges by supervising the routine activity of the laboratory, and ensuring accuracy of results of various biochemical tests by implementing standard quality control protocols.

He is actively involved in research activity in the field of medical education and clinical biochemistry and has completed a number of research projects and has published a number of research papers in both these specialties.

In recognition of his achievements he was awarded with Dr. S K Somaiya Award for Excellence in teaching in the year 2017 by the Somaiya trust.
